Science Curriculum Leader - Huddersfield Secondary School (Immediate Start)

Academics Educational Recruitment is supporting a Huddersfield secondary school in the search for an experienced and driven Science Curriculum Leader to start as soon as possible.

This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a passionate Science specialist ready to take the next step in their career and make a real impact on teaching, learning, and curriculum development.

About the role:

Lead and manage the Science department across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
Drive high standards of teaching and learning across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
Develop and implement an engaging and effective Science curriculum
Support and mentor teaching staff within the department
Monitor student progress and implement strategies to raise attainment
‍ Who we're looking for:

An experienced Science Teacher with leadership or middle leadership experience
Confident teaching across Science disciplines
Strong understanding of curriculum planning and assessment
A proactive and inspirational leader with excellent communication skillsEssential requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Proven track record of strong classroom practice
Experience supporting or leading within a department (e.g. Head of Department, KS Coordinator)
