Secondary schools across Newcastle are seeking Science graduates to work as Learning Support Assistants supporting pupils in science lessons and across the wider curriculum.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or related STEM subjects who are considering a career in teaching, educational psychology, or youth support.
You will gain hands-on classroom experience while helping pupils develop confidence and understanding in core subjects.
Newcastle upon Tyne £90 – £115 per day (PAYE) | Full-Time | Immediate Start
The Role
As a Science Graduate LSA, you will:
Support pupils during science lessons across KS3 and KS4
Work 1:1 or in small groups with students who need additional support
Help explain scientific concepts in an accessible way
Support pupils with SEND, including ADHD, ASD and dyslexia
Assist teachers with practical work, lesson activities and classroom organisation
Encourage engagement, curiosity and confidence in learning
You will work closely with teaching staff and science departments, gaining valuable experience of how schools operate.
