This modern provision supports students aged 11–16 with needs relating to social communication, emotional regulation and sensory processing, often linked to Autism. The Role - Science Teacher

We’re looking for an inspiring Science Teacher who can deliver engaging, differentiated lessons up to GCSE level and who thrives in a nurturing, inclusive environment.

You’ll be based primarily at the Redhill site with occasional work at a nearby satellite provision.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver an adapted Science curriculum that meets students’ academic, social and sensory needs
• Work closely within a multidisciplinary team to create a consistent, supportive environment
• Set personalised progress targets and closely monitor achievement
• Provide detailed assessments and reports for parents, colleagues and external agencies
• Contribute to EHCP reviews, PEPs and LAC documentation
• Create structured, motivating lessons with clear pace and challenge
• Stay informed on Autism education and SEND best practice
• Respond to behaviour calmly and professionally in line with policy
• Support the broader development of the school as it grows

Who We’re Looking For

• PGCE, QTS
• Ability to teach Science up to GCSE
• Experience working with students who have complex SEND needs
• Strong understanding of the national curriculum
• Knowledge of Autism and associated needs
• Ability to adapt and personalise curriculum content
• Reflective, resilient and passionate about inclusive education
