SEMH Teacher (Science Specialism)

Contract: Full-Time, supply basis

Salary: MPS-UPS (Dependent on Experience)

Start Date: 13th April 2026

We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher with a Science specialism to join our committed and nurturing team.

About the Role

You will:

Deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.

Support students with SEMH needs to achieve both academically and personally.

Create a safe, structured and inspiring learning environment.

Work collaboratively with pastoral staff, therapists and external agencies.

Contribute to individual education and behaviour support plans.

About Our Students

Our learners may have:

Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs

ADHD, ASD or associated learning needs

Gaps in education due to previous school experiences

You will play a vital role in re-engaging students with learning, building trust, and developing their confidence in Science and beyond.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

Holds QTS (or equivalent recognised teaching qualification)

Has experience teaching Science (Biology, Chemistry or Physics)

Has experience working with students with SEMH needs (preferred but not essential)

Demonstrates strong behaviour management and relational practice

Is patient, empathetic and resilient

Believes every child can succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
