Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of Science to join this Client, a successful Roman Catholic secondary school in Southwark. This is a full-time position starting in September 2026 on a 1-year fixed contract.

This Client is recognised for its strong academic standards and supportive learning environment. Ofsted inspectors noted the school's strong leadership, calm and purposeful classrooms and pupils who are respectful and eager to learn. Staff work collaboratively to ensure high standards of teaching and learning across the school.

The successful candidate will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 and will ideally have a specialism in Biology, Chemistry or Physics. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess student progress and support pupils in developing strong scientific knowledge and investigative skills.

Applicants should hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. You should demonstrate strong subject knowledge and experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, organised and committed to raising student attainment while maintaining a positive learning environment.
