Responsibilities:
Perform a wide range of analyses, both routine and non-routine, primarily in molecular biology, cell biology, and virology test areas of Biopharmaceutical Services
Conduct day-to-day activities in a laboratory setting under prescribed processes, including protocols, standard operating procedures, and methods
Review and evaluate raw data for acceptability, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results
Set up and validate new analytical or related processes used by the department
Learn and apply molecular biology technology to support ongoing research and development efforts
Design and execute experiments to investigate cellular and molecular mechanisms
Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks and electronic records of all experimental procedures and results
Analyze and interpret experimental data using appropriate statistical methods and software tools
Prepare technical reports, summaries, and presentations of research findings
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project goals and timelines
Troubleshoot and optimize experimental protocols to improve efficiency and reproducibility
Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory guidelines in the laboratory environment
Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices
Participate in regular team meetings and scientific discussions to share knowledge and stay updated on project progress
Qualifications
The ideal candidate would possess:
Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
PCR technique exposure/experience
Minimum Qualifications:
1-2 Full years of applied industry experience
Bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular or cell biology, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Additional Information
Position is full-time, working 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Monday-Friday. Candidates currently living within commutable distance to Lancaster, PA are encouraged to apply.
