About the School:

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting young people with special educational needs (SEND)? We are seeking Secondary and Post-16 Teaching Assistants to join a specialist secondary and sixth form school in Bury, supporting pupils aged 11-19 with a wide range of complex needs, including autism, learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and sensory impairments.

Secondary & Post-16 Teaching Assistant Role and Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils across secondary and post-16 classes. Assist teachers in delivering personalised learning programmes and ensuring pupils can access the curriculum effectively. Support the development of independence, life skills, and social engagement. Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets. Work closely with the school team, families, and external agencies to ensure a nurturing and inclusive environment.
