SEN TA to work with secondary age studentsWe are currently recruiting for a teaching assistant with SEN experience to work with secondary age children in an SEN school in Bristol. This role is ideal for individuals with SEN experience, and who are empathetic, energetic, engaging, and passionate about supporting teenagers and young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs.Responsibilities include:Providing dedicated support to SEN pupilsSupporting the students academic progress and developmentEnabling pupils with SEN to become independent learnersEncouraging the participation of pupils in the social and academic processes of the schoolAssisting with the student's behaviour management and social-emotional developmentFollowing all school behaviour, safeguarding and Health and Safety policiesWe are looking for teaching assistants who:Experience working with children with additional needs, ideally within SEN settingsHave a good understanding of mental health and adolescent developmentCan remain calm, patient, and consistent in challenging situationsAre confident working with students aged 1116May have experience in SEMH, youth work, mentoring, counselling, or trauma-informed practices (desirable but not essential)Have a genuine passion for supporting the well-being and progress of young peopleWhat we offer:Term-time only teaching assistant rolesWeekly pay (£85£100 per day, depending on experience)Full-time and part-time opportunitiesFree training and ongoing supportAssistance with DBS and compliance processA supportive, experienced team to help you succeed in your teaching assistant roleThis is a highly rewarding teaching assistant opportunity to work with secondary-aged students who need strong, positive role models and consistent support to thrive both in and out oftheclassroom.Hanson Recruitment is a prominent Education Recruitment agency in Bristol and we are offering top rates of pay, training and support and referral bonus.Click 'Apply now' to be considered for this position.
