Secondary Learning Support Assistant – Mill Hill (NW7)

Location: Mill Hill, NW7
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (Term Time Only)
Pay: £110 – £120 per day

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Learning Support Assistant to join a large, high-performing secondary school in Mill Hill. The school consistently achieves results above the national average and provides a supportive and inclusive environment for both staff and students.

This role is ideal for individuals with experience working with young people, such as youth workers, behavior mentors, teaching assistants, or those looking to gain valuable experience in education.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide in-class support to students with additional learning needs

* Work closely with teachers to deliver tailored learning strategies

* Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

* Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment

* Assist in the preparation of learning materials and classroom activities

* Encourage student engagement, confidence, and independence

* Monitor and report on student progress where required

Requirements:

* Experience working with young people (e.g. youth work, mentoring, tutoring, or similar)

* A proactive, patient, and empathetic approach

* Strong communication and teamwork skills

* An Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
