Secondary Teaching Assistant – Wandsworth – September 2025 Start


Location: Wandsworth, South West London

Contract: September 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)

Pay: £444.00 per week (PAYE)

Interviews: June/July 2025

A forward-thinking secondary school in Wandsworth is looking for a Secondary Teaching Assistant to support pupils across various subjects. As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you’ll work in KS3 and KS4 classrooms and assist students with a range of needs, including those with SEND.



This Secondary Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to make a real difference to their learning and confidence.


Key responsibilities:

  • Providing classroom support across a range of subjects
  • Assisting pupils with understanding lesson content
  • Running small group and 1:1 interventions
  • Supporting students with SEND or learning barriers


We’re looking for:

  • A 2:1 or above in any subject
  • Experience with teenagers or school-aged children
  • A positive attitude and strong communication skills
  • Availability from September 2025 to July 2026


Please note: Applicants must hold a UK undergraduate degree. We cannot accept overseas degrees (even with a UK Master’s). Sponsorship is not available.
