Cristec Security Designs Ltdis seeking a skilled and motivatedSecurity Installations Engineerto join our growing team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Based inLuton, we deliver high-quality security solutions acrossBedfordshire and the Greater Londonarea. We pride ourselves on providing reliable, professional installations and ongoing support to a wide range of commercial and residential clients.

The Role

This is aMonday to Friday role (40 hours per week), with additional earning potential through overtime and participation in an out-of-hours call-out rota. Youll be responsible for theinstallation, servicing, maintenance and fault diagnosisof security systems at customer sites, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and all documentation is accurate and timely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation and maintenance of CCTV and Access Control systems
  • Reactive and preventative servicing and maintenance
  • Fault finding and repairs on existing systems
  • Installation and commissioning of intruder alarm systems (desirable)
  • Accurate completion of job reports and certification paperwork
  • Maintaining excellent communication with customers on site
  • Ensuring all work complies with Health & Safety standards
  • Planning and managing workload effectively
  • Identifying and reporting system deficiencies or improvements
  • Maintaining company vehicle, tools and equipment
  • Supporting and mentoring junior engineers or trainees when needed

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience installing and servicing CCTV and Access Control systems
  • Strong technical knowledge of various systems
  • Experience with networked / IP-based systems
  • Ability to install cabling and security equipment neatly and professionally
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to read building plans and produce zone / as-installed drawings
  • High standards of customer service and professional presentation
  • Organised, reliable and able to work independently

Experience with Intruder Alarmsystems is highly desirable.

Essential Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Electrical knowledge
  • Relevant apprenticeship or technical qualification (or equivalent experience)
  • Ability to pass DBS and security checks
  • Physically capable of lifting equipment, climbing ladders and working at height
  • Confident using hand and power tools
