Security Service Engineer
London
We’re looking for an experienced Service Engineer to support and maintain critical smart building and electronic security systems across our client portfolio.
This is a field-based, hands-on role focused on keeping systems running reliably through a mix of reactive support and scheduled maintenance.
What you’ll be doing:
Responding to service calls and planned maintenance tasks across multiple client sites
Fault-finding, repairing, and maintaining CCTV, access control, and IP-based networked systems
Supporting smart building and integrated technology environments, including BMS-connected systems
Working directly with client site teams, IT departments, and security personnel
Coordinating with manufacturers, suppliers, and third-party support for technical resolution and parts
Using remote diagnostics tools and portals to identify and resolve issues efficiently
Producing clear service reports and maintaining accurate maintenance records
Supporting SLA delivery and contributing to a high standard of customer service
Taking part in an on-call rota when required
What we’re looking for:
Essential
Experience servicing electronic security systems and IP/network infrastructure
Strong fault diagnosis and troubleshooting skills
Familiarity with CCTV, access control, and network-based technologies
Experience working in smart buildings or integrated systems environments
Confident interpreting technical drawings and documentation
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
Ability to work independently across multiple sites
Full UK driving license
Qualifications
Industry certifications such as NSI or SSAIB, and/or networking qualifications (e.g. Network+, CCNA)
Desirable
Knowledge of ITIL or service management best practices
