Security Software Engineer – Identity & Access Management

Entasis Partners are partnering with a leading technology firm in London that is expanding its Security Technology team. We’re looking for a Security Software Engineer to scale and evolve their Identity & Access Management (IAM) platform.

As part of the IAM Engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and scaling identity infrastructure across the organisation. Working closely with engineering and technology stakeholders, you will design secure, automated, and highly scalable identity solutions.

This role sits at the intersection of security engineering, software development, and infrastructure, with a strong focus on SailPoint IdentityIQ development and integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) in an on-prem environment
  • Develop custom IIQ functionality using Java and BeanShell rules
  • Design and maintain integrations with Active Directory, Azure, and AWS
  • Write and maintain automated tests in Java for custom identity functionality
  • Perform IIQ upgrades, patching, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
  • Support identity lifecycle processes including Joiner-Mover-Leaver workflows
  • Enhance IAM services and extend C#/.NET applications in the identity domain
  • Influence IAM architecture and platform design
  • Produce technical documentation and support audit and compliance activities
  • Participate in production support and incident response for IAM systems

What We9re Looking For

  • Strong hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ
  • Experience developing BeanShell rules and Java customisations
  • Solid understanding of identity lifecycle management (JML)
  • Experience with access requests, approvals, certifications, and governance controls
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in enterprise IAM environments
  • Knowledge of SAML, OIDC, MFA, PAM, PKI
  • Experience with LDAP / Active Directory
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, or OpenStack
  • Automation tools such as Jenkins or Ansible
  • Experience designing distributed or concurrent systems
