Teaching Assistant (TA) Annual Salary: £90 - £110 per day Location: Woolwich Job Type: Full-time We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA) to work with students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This role requires a compassionate individual who has previous experience in a school setting, ready to make a significant impact in the lives of students. Day-to-day of the role: Support SEMH students in their daily school activities, ensuring they engage positively with their learning environment. Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies. Assist in the development of social skills and emotional resilience of the students through guided interaction and activities. Monitor and report on the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents as necessary. Facilitate a safe and supportive learning environment for all students. Required Skills & Qualifications: Previous experience working in a school environment, particularly with SEMH students. Strong understanding of the challenges faced by SEMH students and effective strategies to aid their learning and development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents. Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.
