Academics are seeking a resilient, empathetic, and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs in one of our welcoming partner schools in Ramsgate, East Kent. This is a highly rewarding role for someone passionate about making a meaningful impact on young people who require additional emotional and behavioural support.

What you'll do as an SEMH Teaching Assistant:
Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs Assist in implementing behaviour strategies and personalised support plans Promote emotional regulation, resilience, and a positive sense of wellbeing Help pupils develop confidence, self-esteem, and coping strategies Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and pastoral teams Create a calm, safe, and structured environment that supports learning and emotional growth Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils who may display challenging behavioursWhat we're looking for:
Experience supporting children with SEMH needs (highly desirable) A calm, patient, and nurturing approach at all times Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to de-escalate Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A proactive, flexible, and resilient attitude An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)Apply Today
