SEMH Teaching Assistant

Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning activities and behaviour strategies
Promote positive behaviour and emotional resilience through consistent approaches
Adapt resources and strategies to meet individual learning needs
Support pupils in developing social and communication skills
Maintain accurate records and liaise with SENCO and teaching staff
Uphold safeguarding standards and ensure the welfare of all pupilsIdeal SEMH Teaching Assistant:
Previous experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs in a school setting
Strong understanding of strategies for managing behaviour and promoting engagement
Ability to build positive relationships and encourage independence
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
