We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a Key Stage 2 student with social, emotional, and mental health needs, including PTSD. This is a highly rewarding role where you will play a vital part in helping a young learner feel safe, supported, and ready to engage with education. The Role: Providing consistent 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil with SEMH and PTSD Building a strong, trusting relationship to support emotional regulation and engagement Supporting access to learning in and out of the classroom Implementing tailored strategies to manage behaviour and reduce anxiety Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider pastoral team Creating a calm, structured, and nurturing environment The Ideal Candidate: Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs An understanding of trauma-informed approaches (desirable) Calm, patient, and emotionally resilient Strong communication and relationship-building skills A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning and wellbeing A genuine xehkeey passion for making a difference in a child's life What's on Offer: Full-time, long-term position A supportive and experienced school team Ongoing training and development opportunities A meaningful role where your support has a direct and lasting impact This is a unique opportunity to support a child on their journey, helping them to build confidence, trust, and a positive relationship with education.
