SEMH Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and enthusiastic SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Dunstable. Position: SEMH Teaching Assistant

Location: Dunstable

Pay: £460-£500 per week

This SEMH Teaching Assistant in Dunstable:

* As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils who may experience:
* Anxiety and emotional regulation difficulties
* Low self-esteem and confidence
* Behavioural challenges
* Trauma-related and attachment needs
* Social communication and interaction difficulties

You will work closely with teachers, SEN and inclusion staff to:

* Provide 1:1 and small-group support
* Help pupils manage emotions and behaviour positively
* Build resilience, confidence, and self-regulation skills
* Encourage positive relationships with peers and adults
* Support engagement in learning and classroom activities
* Create a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment

* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Experience supporting SEMH or SEND pupils (desirable but not essential)
* The ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations
