About the School This is a small, community special school for students with a primary need for Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. The school is committed to providing a nurturing, structured, and supportive environment where every young person can thrive and achieve their potential. Role Overview We are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will work closely with students who have SEMH needs, supporting their learning, emotional wellbeing, and social development both in and out of the classroom. Key Responsibilities Provide individual and small group support to students with SEMH needs, adapting approaches to meet their unique challenges. Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies. Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and other professionals to ensure consistent support for students. Support students during lessons, break times, and transitions, promoting positive behaviour and engagement. Help create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
