This is an exciting opportunity to work with students who may present with challenging behaviour, using your expertise to help them engage in their education and thrive in a supportive, nurturing environment.

Our dedicated staff work collaboratively to create tailored learning plans that focus on individual needs, ensuring every child is given the opportunity to succeed.

The Role: As an SEMH Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will: * Provide one-on-one and small group support for students with SEMH needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning. * Support students in managing their emotions and behaviour, promoting positive coping strategies and self-regulation. * Work closely with teachers to develop and implement individualized learning plans. * Help create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment. * Contribute to the development and delivery of social skills, emotional literacy, and life skills programmes. * Use de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviours and support students through difficult situations.

About You: We are looking for candidates who: * Have experience working with students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour, ideally in a school or education setting. * Possess strong communication skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with students. * Are confident in using de-escalation strategies and managing challenging situations in a calm and constructive manner. * Have a proactive and empathetic approach, with a genuine passion for supporting young people in their learning journey. * A relevant qualification (such as Team Teach or similar) would be an advantage but is not essential.
