Job Title: SEN HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) Location: Aston Start Date: September 2025 Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only Are you a passionate and experienced HLTA with a strong background in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? A welcoming and inclusive college based in Aston is looking for a dedicated SEN HLTA to join their team full-time from September . This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people in a supportive and rewarding environment. You must have over 5 years of teaching experience to be shortlisted for this role. Key Responsibilities: Support students with a range of SEN needs, both inside and outside of the classroom. Plan and deliver tailored interventions in small groups or on a one-to-one basis. Work closely with teaching staff, SENCO, and external professionals to support student progress. Promote an inclusive learning environment and encourage student independence. Monitor and report on student progress and contribute to EHCP reviews. Experience of teaching in a SEN college/Post 16 setting will be desirable! The Ideal Candidate Will Have: HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
