Our upcoming mentoring service is based on our unique GEM philosophy, which has a foundation in evidence-based trauma-informed approaches. We work with students who have neurodiverse and trauma diagnoses, including autism, ADHD, and anxiety, who are struggling to engage with formal education. Our mentors focus on the needs of the students and not what has gone wrong in their presentation and behaviour in school. Our mission is to deliver a completely student-centred approach, and to move students from a feeling of hopelessness and failure to a feeling of confidence and success. Our aim is to support students back into their schools they are struggling to attend and or to improve their presentation and behaviour in school. Our expertise is with supporting students with Autism, Anxiety, ADHD and EBSA (low school attendance). We work on empowering students to make informed and appropriate choices and supporting them to engage positively with the learning process.
