We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Outreach Tutor to join our dynamic team and support SEN students in a variety of settings across Southend on Sea.

Role Overview: As an Outreach Tutor, you will work closely with students with SEN, offering tailored, one-to-one or small group support in both mainstream and special educational settings. You will create and implement individualised learning plans, using a range of teaching strategies and resources to meet the diverse needs of students. Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality, personalized tutoring to students with SEN, both in schools and at home. Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles and needs, ensuring all students feel supported and engaged. Work closely with SENCOs, teachers, and parents to track student progress and adjust learning plans accordingly. Foster an inclusive, positive, and encouraging learning environment. Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and educational professionals. Help students develop their social, emotional, and academic skills. Promote independent learning and help students build confidence in their abilities.Key Skills and Experience:

Proven experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ideally in an outreach or tutoring capacity. Knowledge of different SEN categories (e.g., autism, dyslexia, ADHD, speech and language needs). Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and school staff. Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to a wide range of learning needs. A proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving. A passion for education and helping children achieve their full potential.
