Your new company A school in the west of Birmingham is looking for a long term, temporary primary teacher to carry out cover during the summer term. The role is to start in June and will run up until the end of the academic year. The role is Monday to Friday and would be working term time only. The school is undergoing an exciting change with new leadership and specialises in pupils with Autism as well as having a specialist site for pupils with PMLD. Your new role You will be working with lower key stage 2 class with pupils who are all non-verbal with some students requiring a sensory approach to learning. You will be responsible for all planning and delivering of lessons as well as assessment of pupil progress. You will also be responsible for overseeing and working collaboratively with the teaching assistants within the classroom. What you'll need to succeed You will need to be confident in the use of visual support as well as PECS systems and an ASC work tray approach to learning.You will also have recent experience in a similar role so that Hays Education can obtain satisfactory references.
