Salary- £172.98/ day

Contract- Full time

About the role-

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced SEN teacher in one of our schools based in Penarth. This role includes teaching primary students with additional learning needs (ALN). You will be delivering a variety of subjects across their curriculum alongside multidisciplinary teams to ensure communication and regulation strategies are fully incorporated. Unlike mainstream teaching, this role requires an understanding of utilising a sensory curriculum to cater for young learners with sensory impairments or difficulties. An adaptive teaching approach and a willingness to expand your understandings is essential for this role.

We are looking for-

-          Individuals with experience teaching in SEN schools.

-          Applicants with an in-depth understanding of ALN and how to cater to them via teaching plans and independent learning plans.

-          Individuals able to stimulate interest and enjoyment in learning whilst encouraging the growth of a nurturing and safe environment.

-          An individual who remains calm and empathetic during high-pressure situations that may arise in the classroom.
