SEN Teacher (ARP) | Barnet | Immediate Start
Are you passionate about supporting children with ASD? A fantastic opportunity has opened in Barnet for a dedicated SEN Teacher or aspiring SEN Teacher to join a newly established ARP within a supportive mainstream primary school.
Qualified and unqualified teachers are welcome to apply. This role is ideal for someone who wants to make a meaningful impact while helping to shape a developing specialist provision.
SEN Teacher | ARP Role Overview
  • Full-time, permanent role starting immediately
  • Full-time, permanent role starting immediately
  • Specialist ARP within a mainstream primary school
  • Support a small cohort of EYFS and KS1 pupils with ASD and EHCPs
  • Plan and deliver personalised learning, using assessment to inform provision
  • Lead and work alongside LSAs
  • Support personal and toileting care as required
  • Work closely with the SENDCo and communicate regularly with parent

Person Specification Qualified Teachers
  • PGCE with QTS (Primary or SEN)
  • Experience or strong interest in supporting pupils with ASD
  • Confident leading small groups and 1:1 interventions within a specialist setting

Person Specification Unqualified Teachers
  • Degree in Education, Psychology, or related field
  • Experience with ASD (desirable)
  • Willing to support personal/toilet care
  • Understanding of EHCPs or willingness to learn
Salary available up to Unqualified Teacher Scale 5, depending on experience.
