This welcoming specialist school in Oldham supports pupils aged 5–16 with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Many pupils have needs such as:

The Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and adapted lessons that meet the individual needs of your pupils.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Planning and delivering differentiated lessons tailored to pupils’ learning needs
• Creating a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment
• Supporting pupils’ social, emotional and communication development
• Working closely with teaching assistants and support staff
• Developing and reviewing EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
• Monitoring progress and celebrating achievements
• Collaborating with parents, carers and external professionals
• Supporting students to build independence, confidence and resilience
You will be supported by a skilled team of teaching assistants, SEN specialists and senior leaders who are committed to providing the best possible support for pupils.

Applicants should hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
