SEN Teacher with QTS SEN School, Blandford Forum, Dorset Full-time - Temp to Perm Academics are recruiting on behalf of an SEN School in Blandford Forum, Dorset which is a 38-52 week school and home for children and young people diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The school caters for both boys and girls aged 7 - 19 years. The school is in a beautiful location in the countryside sat on 28 acres with many facilities such as a theatre, sports hall, indoor and outdoor riding areas, climbing wall, multiple safe play areas and a swimming pool. They offer a home away from home, accommodating children and young people in both on-site and off-site homes. Every child or young person has a key worker overseeing their care, welfare, safety and learning programmes. Due to the school's growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced and empathetic SEN Teacher with QTS to join them after Easter who is able to teach across the National Curriculum, tailoring lessons to meet their individual needs. As an SEN Teacher, you will be teaching classes of up to six students with the support of a minimum of two Teaching Assistants. The successful SEN Teacher will be responsible for following schemes of work, creating medium term plans, lesson planning, delivering the curriculum to a class group and supporting students with ASD in learning activities and personal skills. This is a full-time teaching contract working 37.5 hours per week. This is an ongoing supply/potential temp to perm contract for the right candidate.
