SEN Teacher – Specialist School An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join a progressive and well-resourced specialist school. This specialist provision supports pupils aged 7–19 with complex needs, including Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and a range of additional needs. The school is fully inclusive and committed to delivering high-quality, personalised education that enables every pupil to flourish. The Role The successful candidate will: Plan and deliver highly individualised, engaging and meaningful learning experiences tailored to pupils’ cognitive, communication and sensory needs Teach and support learners working at early developmental levels Work collaboratively with therapists and other multi-disciplinary professionals to embed therapeutic approaches into everyday teaching Utilise a range of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems, including: High-tech communication devices and applications Low-tech systems such as PECS, Sign-Along and visual supports

Build strong, positive relationships with families and contribute effectively to home–school communication Play an active role in Annual Reviews and contribute to Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) processes Take responsibility for the progress, attainment and outcomes of all pupils within your class Lead, coordinate and support a team of SEN Teaching Assistants Deliver creative, pupil-centred lessons in line with the school’s curriculum Promote the safety, wellbeing and holistic development of all pupils Pupils are supported to achieve a range of appropriate qualifications and develop into confident, articulate and ambitious young adults.
