The school provides personalised education for pupils aged 7-16, many of whom are Children Looked After. With a strong therapeutic approach and a nurturing atmosphere, the environment is designed to help every pupil develop emotionally, socially and academically. The Role As a KS3 SEN Teacher, you will plan and deliver inclusive, high-quality lessons that meet the unique needs of pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours. You’ll work closely with specialist staff to create a safe, supportive learning environment built on trust, consistency and trauma-informed practice. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, evidence-informed lessons tailored to individual needs Use assessment data effectively to monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies Support pupils’ social, emotional and academic development through therapeutic approaches Maintain high expectations for learning and behaviour in line with the school’s policies Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and specialist support teams About You You’ll bring enthusiasm, empathy and resilience, with a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable pupils who require consistent and trauma-informed teaching.
