SEN Teaching Assistant - Erdington

I C Talent are working closely with a welcoming and well-resourced SEN school in Erdington that is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant. The school supports pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and moderate learning difficulties.

With small class sizes, strong leadership, and a nurturing, inclusive ethos, the school is committed to helping every child reach their full potential while ensuring staff feel supported and valued.

The role will involve working either 1:1 with a pupil requiring tailored support or assisting small groups to deliver targeted interventions and structured learning activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 support for pupils with special educational needs

*

Support small group interventions to aid learning and development

*

Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering differentiated activities

*

Implement EHCP targets and behaviour support strategies

*

Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs

*

Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment

*

Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff

*

Assist with personal care if required

Job Requirements:

*

Previous experience working with children with SEN (essential)

*

Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, or SEMH needs

*

Strong behaviour management skills

*

A patient, resilient, and proactive approach

*

Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

*

A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
