Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (EYFS / KS1) – Ad Hoc & Long-Term Roles Location: Gateshead Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (Monday–Friday, term time)

About the Role: We are an education recruitment agency working in partnership with SEN schools across North East, and we are currently recruiting EYFS / KS1 SEN Teaching Assistants for both ad-hoc (supply) and long-term roles. You will be supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs within specialist SEN school settings, helping to create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN Support children with learning, communication, and emotional needs Assist with personal care where required Implement behaviour and support strategies set by the school Work closely with teachers and other support staffRequirements:

Experience working with children in EYFS and/or KS1 Previous experience in SEN schools or specialist settings (preferred) Experience supporting needs such as ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, or SEMH (desirable) A calm, patient, and resilient approach Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through the agency)What We Offer:
