About the Role Destination Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in East Finchley. This full-time role is perfect for someone who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and helping them achieve their full potential. You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and wider support team to deliver tailored support that meets the individual needs of pupils. The role may involve 1:1 support or small group work, assisting pupils with ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or social, emotional, and mental health challenges. The school values inclusivity, teamwork, and creating a nurturing environment for every child.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN. Support the implementation of EHCPs and personalised learning plans. Assist pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social development. Promote positive behaviour and inclusion within the classroom. Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs. Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals.The Ideal Candidate

Experience supporting children with SEN in a primary school setting. Calm, patient, and empathetic approach. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Genuine passion for inclusive education. Relevant SEN training or qualifications are desirable but not essential.What Destination Education Offers
