SEN Teaching Assistant - Secondary School (Stockport) Start Date: ASAP | Contract: Until End of Academic Year | Full-Time

Aspire People are currently seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive SEND department within a mainstream secondary school in Stockport. This is a full-time role starting as soon as possible, continuing until the end of the academic year.
The school benefits from excellent transport links, making it easily accessible from surrounding areas.
The Role: * Supporting students with a range of SEN, including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH needs * Working closely with low-ability students to provide tailored academic support * Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment * Collaborating with a highly supportive SEND team and teaching staff * Building strong relationships with pupils to encourage confidence and progress
The Ideal Candidate: * Previous experience working with children with SEN (in schools or similar settings) * A Psychology graduate (preferred but not essential) * Resilient, patient, and adaptable with a positive attitude * Someone who enjoys a challenge and finds the role rewarding * Strong communication and teamwork skills
Requirements: * Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) * References covering the last 2 years * Right to work in the UK
