Desian Education are proud to be supporting an extremely inclusive and well-established mainstream primary school in Winsford that is easily accessible via public transport as they are looking to appoint a motivated and experienced SEN teaching assistant for a full-time contract, starting after easter and lasting the remainder of the academic year.
Your new role
As a teaching assistant within this school you will be joining an extremely supportive and experienced SEN cohort, working in collaboration with the class teacher/SENCO and teaching assistants to support the education, development and well-being of all pupils within a designated SEMH provision. You will take a pupil-centred approach to their education as to ensure that the needs of each pupils re not only met, but also at the heart of all operations. You will:
Implement an array of positive behaviour strategies
Build strong constructive relationships with pupils
Deliver comprehensive interventions i.e., ELSA, well-being and behavioural
Use trauma-informed strategies
What you need to succeed
Full “Right to Work” in the UK
Be willing to undergo an enhanced children’s DBS check
Have relevant referenceable experience supporting children with behavioural/SEMH needs
Having an NVQ Level 2 Supporting xehkeey Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualification is advantageous but not essential
