Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant Primary School (BS4, near Brislington)

We are currently recruiting a part-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school in BS4, near Brislington.

This Teaching Assistant role involves working on a one-to-one basis with a pupil with additional needs within a mainstream primary school. The successful Teaching Assistant will play an important role in helping the pupil access learning, build confidence, and feel supported in the classroom.

Working days: Wednesday to Friday

Start date: Immediate

Duration: Ongoing

The Teaching Assistant Role

Providing dedicated 1:1 support as a Teaching Assistant for a pupil with special educational needs

Supporting learning, engagement, and emotional wellbeing as a classroom Teaching Assistant

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO as part of the wider support team

Adapting activities and resources to meet individual needs

Encouraging independence and positive progress

The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will Have

Strong previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly supporting children with SEN

A calm, patient, and nurturing approach in their role as a Teaching Assistant

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

The ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils

Availability to work consistently Wednesday to Friday
