SEN Teaching Assistant Wem

Excell Supply are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a supportive primary/secondary school setting in Wem and the surrounding areas.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

The Role:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional learning needs
• Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
• Support pupils with EHCPs, ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs, or SEMH
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
• Be patient, empathetic, and adaptable
• Have strong communication and teamwork skills
• Hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
• Have relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent desirable but not essential)
