If yes, the team at GSL Education Kent would love to hear from you. We are currently seeking a proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly school in Swanley. This full-time, long-term role is available for an immediate start. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will play a key part in helping students with additional needs—including ASD and SEMH—to access their lessons and grow in confidence with their academic work.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to:

Deliver bespoke 1:1 support and lead small group interventions for students with EHCPs.

Work closely with the SENCO to implement individual learning plans effectively.

Adapt complex lesson content into more accessible tasks for students.

Uphold strict school protocols regarding safeguarding and student welfare.

In order to be considered for this SEN Teaching Assistant role, the candidate must:

Possess recent experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs.

Display a calm, adaptable nature when faced with challenging classroom situations.

Have a strong desire to improve the educational outcomes for vulnerable learners.

Have the right to work in the UK.

Meet GSL’s safer recruitment background checks.

Have an Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
