St Ives, Cambridgeshire Location: St Ives, Cambridge Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent, Term Time Only Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday Salary: £22,996 - £25,068 (Actual annual salary, dependent on experience and qualifications) Hourly Rate: £12.87 - £14.03 Reed are working with a school in St Ives, Cambridge, supporting them in recruiting for a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. About the School The school is a specialist day provision for students aged 11-16 with complex learning needs, including SEMH, autism, and speech, language and communication difficulties. Opened in 2022, the school provides a nurturing, therapeutic environment where every learner is supported academically, socially and emotionally. The Role The school are seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to support students’ learning and wellbeing, helping them to reach their full potential in a safe and caring environment. Key responsibilities include: Supporting students with SEMH, ASD and anxiety-related needs Assisting with and adapting learning activities Helping to manage behaviour using positive, individualised strategies Providing classroom support and resources under teacher guidance What We’re Looking For Essential: Experience working with children or young people with SEND Essential: Level 2 or equivalent in Maths and English A caring, patient and resilient approach Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare If you are interested in this position and ready to make a difference to the education and lives of young people with SEND, we would love to hear from you!
