SEN Teaching Assistant – Hemel Hempstead
We are seeking a resilient, proactive, and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream primary school in Hemel Hempstead as soon as possible. This full-time role will be based within a Year 3 classroom, supporting pupils with special educational needs and high levels of challenging behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide dedicated support within a Year 3 classroom, working closely with the class teacher to deliver structured and engaging lessons.

Support pupils with additional needs, including those displaying challenging behaviour, helping them access learning and remain engaged.

Implement behaviour management strategies consistently, promoting a safe, calm, and purposeful learning environment.

Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to support their emotional regulation and social development.

Work one-to-one and with small groups to reinforce learning, develop independence, and encourage positive behaviour choices.
