The Role
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join this Rochdale‑based specialist provision after the Easter break. The role involves supporting young people with a range of complex Special Educational Needs, including those with EHCPs.
Key Responsibilities
Support learners aged 11–19 in classroom, small group and 1:1 settings. Assist in delivering differentiated learning aligned with the setting’s core values. Encourage positive routines and behaviour — pupils are described as polite, well‑mannered, and benefiting from structured routines. Work collaboratively within a multi‑disciplinary team including teaching staff, therapy leads and safeguarding professionals.
What We’re Looking For
Experience supporting young people with SEND (school or care settings). Calm, adaptable and nurturing approach. Ability to promote independence and personal development. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A genuine commitment to supporting learners with diverse needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
