Make a Difference Every Day – SEN Teaching Assistant (Stockport)

We’re working with a primary school in Stockport looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant who can support pupils that need a bit more guidance, structure and encouragement to thrive.
What This Role Looks Like
You’ll be supporting children with additional needs – this could be ASD, SEMH, ADHD or speech and communication needs.
Your day might involve:
Working 1:1 with a pupil who needs extra support Helping children manage emotions and stay engaged Breaking down learning so it’s accessible and achievable Being a consistent, positive role model Supporting the class teacher and SENCO
What Kind of Person Does Well Here?
Calm under pressure and naturally patient Someone who can build trust quickly with children Confident managing behaviour in a positive, structured way Experience in schools, care, youth work or similar is a big plus You’ve got a DBS (or happy to get one sorted)
