The Role We are seeking reliable and flexible SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team on a zero hours (casual) basis. This role is ideal for individuals looking for flexible work within a school environment, supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will be called upon to provide support when required, including covering staff absences or providing additional support for pupils who need it. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to help students overcome barriers to learning while working alongside a supportive school team. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with a range of SEN needs. Assist teachers in delivering adapted learning activities suited to individual students. Support pupils with communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation. Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Follow individual support plans and guidance from teaching staff and the SENCO. Record and report any relevant observations about student progress or wellbeing. What We’re Looking For We are looking for individuals who are: Patient, caring, and adaptable. Comfortable working with children with additional learning needs, including autism, ADHD, or SEMH. Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff. Flexible and available to work at short notice when required.
