Overview:
Enfield Primary School, a welcoming and high-achieving primary school in Enfield, is seeking a confident and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with complex needs. This role involves working closely with a child in a wheelchair to facilitate their learning and inclusion within the classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide personalised support to a Year 1 pupil with Special Educational Needs, including assistance with academic tasks and daily routines.

Support the child’s physical needs associated with their wheelchair use and ensure their full participation in school activities.

Help manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner.

Collaborate with teaching staff and specialists to implement tailored strategies that promote the pupil’s development.

Ensure the child’s safety and well-being at all times, including when moving around the school premises.
