Reeson Education are supporting a friendly primary school in Islington in their search for an SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 1 pupil from January 2026.

Daily Rate: £82.14 - £100 per day

About the Role - SEN Teaching Assistant

Provide individualised 1:1 support to a Year 1 pupil with additional learning needs

Assist the child in accessing the curriculum and staying engaged in lessons

Work in partnership with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored education plans

Track and record progress, behaviour, and development to support SEN provision

Full-time, term-time contract running until July 2026

Ideal Candidate - SEN Teaching Assistant

Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, TA, or Learning Support Assistant

Skilled in supporting children with additional needs such as speech, language, or behavioural challenges

Patient, proactive, and passionate about children's learning and development

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A current DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
