Role Overview - SEN Teaching Assistant

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of needs including autism, ADHD and learning difficulties. The SEN Teaching Assistant will work closely with teachers and SENCOs to deliver targeted support and ensure pupils remain engaged in their learning.

Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant

Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
Supporting lesson delivery alongside the class teacher
Assisting pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
Promoting engagement and participation in lessons
Helping pupils develop independence and confidenceRequirements for the SEN Teaching Assistant

Experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant or similar role
Understanding of SEN such as autism, ADHD or SEMH
