SEN Teaching Assistant

Our client school in Bury, a welcoming mainstream primary setting with a well‑established SEN hub, is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team full-time until the end of the academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils with a range of additional needs and who can contribute positively to a nurturing, inclusive environment. Previous experience in a similar role is essential, as you will be working closely with children who require consistent, specialist support.
This role is to begin ASAP.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing tailored support to pupils within the school’s SEN hub, helping them access learning in a way that meets their individual needs Working collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCo to implement personalised learning strategies and support plans Assisting with behaviour regulation, emotional wellbeing and day‑to‑day classroom engagement Delivering small‑group or one‑to‑one interventions as directed Supporting pupils with communication, social skills and independence Contributing to record‑keeping, progress tracking and feedback to staff Helping to create a positive, structured and encouraging learning environment Requirements:
Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school or specialist provision Strong communication and teamwork skills A patient, adaptable and proactive approach The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff If you are committed to making a meaningful difference and thrive in a supportive school community, this could be the ideal role for you.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
