SEN Teaching Assistant - Centre Stafford - Long Term Cover Role - Start Date: 05/05/2026

We are currently recruiting for a compassionate and dedicated individual to work as a SEN Teaching Assistant supporting a school in the centre of Stafford. You will be working on a supply basis in a long-term placement through a supply agency. The role requires a full time SEN Teaching Assistant who is available to work 5 days a week, 8:30am - 3:30pm, this is to ensure that the child has consistent support across the week.

This a rewarding role which involves providing tailored one-to-one support to pupils with additional needs helping them to access learning, build confidence, and thrive within the classroom environment. Your input will be vital in ensuring that the child receives the best levels of care and support; you must be a compassionate and nurturing individual who feels confident working as a SEN Teaching Assistant.

Key Responsibilities:

* Providing exceptional 1:1 support to pupils with a range of additional needs (e.g. SEN, SEMH, ASD)
* The ability to adapt learning materials and approaches to meet individual needs.
* Work closely with members of the school; including members of Senior Leadership, Teachers and the SENCo.
* Fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment at all time.
* Closely monitor and report on pupil progress as needed.

We are looking for someone who:

* Experience supporting children in a classroom environment, in particularly on a 1:1 basis.
* Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (desirable).
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one).
* Provide 2 references.
* Available to start from 5th May 2026 onwards.
* Able to commute to Stafford.
* Willing and able to work under the guidance of the class teacher.
* Fully registered to work with Academics.

Pay £93 - £100 a day, holiday pay is included in the day rate.
