SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support (Primary)
Location – Liverpool
Pay: £12.71 to £14.00 per hour - Depending on experience
Contract: Temporary

Working Pattern: Flexible opportunities including day-to-day, short-term and long-term assignments
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a Primary School aged pupil. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine difference in a child’s educational journey while gaining valuable experience within a supportive school environment.

The Role
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting a pupil with additional learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum, build confidence, and thrive both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities

Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with special educational needs
Work closely with the class teacher to adapt learning materials and activities
Support the pupil’s social, emotional, and academic development
Encourage positive behaviour and assist with behaviour management strategies where needed
Help maintain a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging classroom environmentAbout You
We are looking for someone who is:

Experienced in working with children or young people, ideally within a school or SEN setting
Knowledgeable or willing to learn about supporting pupils with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties
Patient, empathetic, and proactive in their approach
A strong communicator who works well as part of a team
In possession of a DBS on the Update Service, or willing to apply for oneWhat’s on Offer
