A teaching assistant is needed for special educational needs (SEN) school in North London for students aged 11-19.

As a teaching assistant, you will be supporting students with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) and severe learning (SLD) and/or physical disabilities (PD).

As a teaching assistant, you will be working closely alongside the teacher or with small groups or individual students.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

Working with and supporting students with SLD, ASD and other complex needs. Providing academic support, either one-on-one or in a small group. Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom culture and providing emotional support when needed. Implementing behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive and safe learning environment. Using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage focus and self-control. Assisting with lesson planning and delivery. Being aware of safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
